Chill is a new support group set up through Lancaster and District Women’s Aid to support children and young people affected by domestic violence and abuse. The group aims to offer an opportunity for young people to offload in a safe environment, to encourage mutual support, set up education events and attend leisure activities.
Women’s Aid recognizes that all family members are affected by domestic violence and that children and young people should have services to meet their individual needs. LDWA also recognizes that it is of the upmost importance that those affected by domestic abuse need to be given the support needed to ensure that they grow into confident adults, who neither repeat nor accept the cycle of violence that has affected their young lives.
