Our training and awareness sessions are vital for updating agencies and groups about our work. In 2008 we ran 6 multi agency training sessions for agencies across Lancaster and District. The participants attending each day were carefully balanced to make sure that they represented a range of agencies and knowledge. In this way, the day not only provided excellent training in developing domestic abuse awareness but also a valuable networking opportunity where  agencies could build connections that could facilitate future joint working.

The training is interactive and informative. It includes: Awareness of Domestic Abuse, Why Does She Stay? Effects of Domestic Abuse. Working with Survivors. Safety Planning. The Work of LDWA.

Awareness sessions for your team - Perhaps you would us to deliver a short presentation at a team meeting or local forum? We can deliver sessions between 30 minutes and an hour. These sessions are free, enjoyable and a quick taster session of our work.
